Christmas Toy Store
In 2011 we had a wonderful toy store that helped over sixty children have toys for Christmas. Gifts were given by the church family all year long. Groups in the church like the WMU made things. The children choose from a table of gifts for their parents and had help wrapping them. Everyone that came had the good news of Jesus presented and were offered the opportunity to become Christians. We had two ladies that gave their lives to Christ.
Sportsman's Ministry
In 2010 we began this ministry to reach families that enjoy outdoor activities together. With as many as 600 in attendance Arlington joined with some area churches, ministries, and businesses to have a Sportsmen's Holiday. With exhibits from law enforcement and the National Guard many enjoyed a day of demonstrations and food tasting. The gospel message was shared for all to here.
In 2011 we made preparation for a second Sportsmen's Day but Hurricane Irene had different plans. All of the pork BBQ prepared was taken to the shelter at Englewood Baptist Church to feed those displaced by Irene. We prayed with many there and shared the love of Jesus.
